Just two years ago, smart rings were a niche curiosity. Today? Shipments have grown nearly fivefold — from 850,000 units in 2023 to over 4 million in 2025. The market is projected to reach $7.8 billion by 2035, growing at a CAGR of 25.4%.
Oura leads with 74% market share, but here’s what I find interesting: that leaves 26% of a rapidly expanding market up for grabs. For brands and distributors looking to differentiate, this is a genuine opportunity.
The technology has matured. Optical heart rate sensors and accelerometers now fit into 8mm-thick rings. Bluetooth 5.3 consumes minimal power, and flexible batteries deliver 5-7 days of battery life. What was once a novelty is now a legitimate product category.
From my perspective as a manufacturer, smart rings represent something rare: a high-growth category where early movers can still establish a strong position. The health tracking and wellness space is only expanding, and consumers are increasingly looking for discreet, comfortable wearables.
For importers and distributors: the window is open. Those who act now are the ones who will capture the momentum.
